What court do I go to?

You will usually make an application to your local Family Proceedings Court, which will deal with your case, but if it is complex it might go to the more specialist Family Care Centre or even the High Court.

Can I get my own solicitor? What will they do for me?

If you are mature enough then you can engage a Solicitor to take a case to court for you. A Solicitor is someone who is familiar with the law and will be able to present arguments to the court to support what you want.
