WHAT YOU SAY MATTERS

YOUNG PEOPLE USING RIGHTS FOR CHANGE

City Hall - 27 October 2016

On Thursday 27 October 2016, 90 young people from schools and youth groups participated in a youth engagement event in Belfast City Hall.  The event was organised by young people for young people.  At the event key decision makers were challenged by young people on their responsibility under the UNCRC to deliver on children's rights in the Programme for Government. Key issues discussed included mental health, youth participation and age discrimination.

Click here for the "What You Say Matters" youth conference report December 2016 for a summary of the views expressed by young people during workshop discussions and young people's key questions for Government moving forward.
